What a recent health crisis has taught me about community care
After navigating a recent health crisis and the challenges of accessing the specialized care I need, I’ve been reflecting deeply on how essential it is for healing to be accessible to all and how generosity and community can expand what’s possible when we care for one another.
For the month of October, I’m offering 1:1 sessions and ceremonies as an act of community care. These offerings are my way of challenging the norm that care must always be a specific amount of monetary exchange. Instead, I wish to nurture a culture where we care for each other, focusing on support, kinship, and reciprocity. How It WorksI’ve opened up two time slots every Friday and Saturday in October for community care sessions. You can book yours here if these dates times don’t work for you please email me.
You can book either:a 1:1 Ceremony (more info here), ora 1:1 Somatic / Dance Healing Session
(more information [here])Normally, these sessions range from $150–$200, but for October you’re invited to give from the heart. Honouring your journey while sustaining mine in reciprocity. Give in a way that feels aligned with your gratitude, capacity, and experience.Together, we co-create a circle of reciprocity and kinship, where giving and receiving flow naturally strengthening our bonds and reminding us that true wealth lives in relationships, gratitude, and mutual support.Gifts of care can be shared [here] or sent via e-transfer to liz@lizdiaz.ca. If you send an etransfer please include your email in the notes section.
