These are guided experiences that integrate expressive dance, somatic (body-based)movement, expressive arts and dance to support women in building body awareness, emotional regulation, and a sense of connection; both individually and within a group setting. These sessions invite participants to explore movement as a form of creativity, communication, and self-expression, building self-esteem and accessing possibility and joy.
These sessions are non-clinical and trauma-informed, offering an accessible, body-based approach that complements existing support services. Participants are invited to engage through movement, reflection, and creative expression in ways that do not rely on verbal processing or prior experience.
This programming is particularly well-suited for organizations working with women navigating stress, transition, isolation, or complex life circumstances.
Program Approach
Each session can integrate:
- Somatic (body-based) awareness practices (can be omitted depending on the population)
- Expressive dance and guided movement exploration (modified based on ability)
- Creative and expressive arts elements (e.g., drawing, symbolic expression)
- Optional peer connection activities
- Grounding and closing reflection for integration
All activities are invitational and adaptable, ensuring participants can engage at their own pace and comfort level.
Responsive & Participant-Centered Design
Sessions are flexible and can be tailored to align with the needs, capacities, and goals of your participants and organization.
I work collaboratively with staff to:
- Align programming with your community context
- Support accessibility and cultural responsiveness
- Ensure participants feel appropriately supported during and after sessions
There is a strong emphasis on integration and continuity of care. Sessions are paced to allow space for reflection and settling, and coordination with staff helps ensure participants have access to appropriate support if anything arises following the session.

Nature-Based Sessions (Outdoor Programming)
Mindfulness, forest bathing, and land-based experiences
Alongside Dance Heal Transform Sessions, Liz offers outdoor, nature-based experiences that invite participants to slow down, connect within urban nature environments like city parks, ravins and community gardens to engage in gentle, sensory-based practices.
These sessions integrate elements of:
- Forest bathing (Shinrin Yoku)
- Mindfulness and sensory awareness
- Gentle yoga and grounding
- Nature-based creative expression
Nature-based sessions provide an alternative entry point for participants who may benefit from being outdoors, reducing stimulation, and connecting through the senses rather than structured movement.
Like all offerings, these sessions are trauma-informed, non-clinical, and adaptable to the needs of each group.
