Why We Dance

Dance is one of the oldest healing movement arts. It guides us to embrace ourselves with compassionate acceptance by trusting the innate healing power of the body. There are no steps or moves to follow; suggested therapeutic movement prompts are optional and invite you to explore how your body wants to move from the inside. Our dance practice is like a moving meditation, where the body and music direct movement from the inside out. Free-formed and intuitive focused movement enables presence and personal growth, personal connection with yourself.

Studio Update

After dancing in the Heal Good Studio for our July series, the space is unfortunately to small for our dance circle. I have been looking for space since April, and have finally found one that finally accommodates our needs in regards to size, wooden floors, surround sound, dimmer lights, covered mirrors and and air conditioning. Our new location moving forward in August and September will be at 1560 Yonge, closest intersection Yonge and St.Clair, a 2min walk from the St.Clair Subway. Our new venue is run by a non-profit charity called Unity which runs free hip-hop programming for youth.  Here is a picture of the new beautiful space I will be renting for our dances.

What People Are Saying About Working With Me

“Sessions and series with Liz create a safe and supported container to really deeply open into and explore the body’s wisdom, capacity for creative expression and self-healing powers!”

“Group Dance with Liz was a beautiful and profound inner journey. Liz holds safe and sacred space for deep diving within. Every class was so juicy! I have emerged with greater self-awareness, and the sacred gifts of this body temple I inhabit! Thank you Liz.”

“A beautiful journey inwards towards self-compassion. Deep healing for the body & soul. Liz gently guides and supports you with her presence and beautifully curated music. Highly recommend!”

“Learning and relearning to listen and respond to my body has been the gift that Liz has given me. Especially as I navigate a chronic condition that I don’t have control over, the practices learned over the this series has given me joy, self-agency and the ability to once again befriend my body. Liz’s guidance is superb.”

Body Temple Dance & Ceremony-Online

Sunday Oct 19th ONLINE LIVE

12pm ET / 9am PT / 5pm UK

From our very first breath until our final exhale, our body is the constant temple that carries our sacred essence. And yet, how often do we pause to truly be present with it, to listen and to care for its needs? When was the last time you befriended your body and honoured the wisdom it holds?
This dance and ceremony is an opportunity to open the door to welcoming loving connection and gratitude, to remember our body as a vessel of wisdom and healing.

What you will experience:

You will be guided through a mind-body-spirit healing journey that invites you to soften, reconnect, and find gratitude for yourself and your body. Through mindful somatic practices and therapeutic dance to cultivate a healthier, more loving relationship with your body. To close, a sacred rose* ceremony of self-love will invite you to root into tenderness, honouring your body with renewed devotion and compassion. You don’t need a rose to attend this ceremony, you can do the practice with your hands as well if you don’t have access to a rose or flower.

This ceremony is open to women and all female identified folks.

Pricing

$50-$25 sliding scale (no one will be turned away due to lack of funds)

During a recent health crisis I had the opportunity to deeply reflect on how accessible healing really is in/isn’t in our society. So in hopes to do my part, I am offering this ceremony on a sliding scale. You’re invited to give from the heart honouring your journey while sustaining mine in reciprocity. in a way that feels true to your gratitude and capacity. Together, we co-create a circle of reciprocity and kinship, where our giving not only honours us (you and me) but also a flow of healing for the wider community. This is how we nurture bonds, strengthen community, and remember that true wealth lives in relationships, gratitude, and mutual support. You’re welcome to contribute an amount that feels aligned with your financial capacity and one that reflects your gratitude, your experience, and the energy you wish to circulate back.
